After more than 40 years working as an engineer in the planning and design of industrial plants, I consciously began a new chapter in my life in 2013. What had long been a personal interest and hobby developed into an intensive artistic exploration and became a central part of my life.

In the beginning, photography and videography increasingly captivated me. I discovered that images could convey more than just memories or decorative items. I found that my pictures contained interesting details that inspired me to create new images.

With the advent of digital photography and computer-aided skills, I discovered that this complements my affinity for computer technology well. This led to my new path into the world of visual art.

Today, fine art photography, digital image processing, and painting are the main focus of my artistic work. I combine my technical background with a free, experimental approach. My work often begins with motifs from architecture and nature, which I transform in the artistic process and translate into abstracted visual worlds.
I am interested in the transition from clear structures to open, expressive forms – from construction to interpretation. This creates a tension between control and intuition, within which my visual language develops.

I draw inspiration from artists such as August Macke, Wassily Kandinsky, and Paul Gauguin, as well as the Impressionists Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh. Their understanding of color, form, and expression continues to shape my own artistic work to this day.

For several years I have been a member of the artists' collective "FALTER" in Langenfeld/Rhld. and a premium member of ARTBOXY/Switzerland. This allows me not only to present/exhibit my work nationally and internationally, but also to meet and exchange ideas with other artists and art enthusiasts.
